Man found guilty of raping special needs boy gets just six months jail time, deportation

An Asian man who raped a special needs boy inside a building under construction in Fujairah city has been sentenced to six months in jail to be followed by deportation.

Presiding judge of Fujairah criminal court Mohammed Al Harithi found the man guilty of taking advantage of the victim's disability and raping him.

The boy's father had lodged a complaint with the police that an unknown person had raped his son.

The police investigated the incident and zeroed in on the watchman. He was arrested later.

On interrogation he confessed to the charge leveled against him, and sent to the court which sentenced him to imprisonment and deportation.
