President Donald Trump likes to watch replays of his rallies and other public performances but instead of looking for room to improve, he's relishing his brilliance, it was revealed on Sunday.

Additionally, his staff have thrown in the towel on trying to supervise him this month while he's on vacation, leaving him free to golf and tweet.

The president has a pre-loaded TiVo in his dining room, just off the Oval Office, sources told Axios, and he likes to rewatch his old rallies and debates with his personal commentary comment on how well he did.

'People think it's easy,' Trump said of his rallies, according to a source who told the news website. 'I've been doing this a long time now and people are used to it, every rally, it's like, people have said P.T. Barnum. People have said that before. And they think that's easy, because hey, P.T. Barnum, he does the circus. ... They don't realize, it's a lot of work. It's not easy.'

But his favorite moment of all time is the October 9, 2016 presidential debate between him and Hillary Clinton in St. Louis.

This was the first debate after the revelation of the 'Access Hollywood' tape in which Trump is heard making lewd comments about women to host Billy Busy.

It released a firestorm of negative publicity around the presidential candidate and saw several member of his own party withdraw their endorsements and urge him to drop out of the race.

Trump countered the narrative by inviting four women whom had accused Bill Clinton of sexual harassment to watch the debate from the audience.

He likes the moment from that night when Clinton said: 'It's just awfully good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump is not in charge of the law in our country.'

'Because you'd be in jail,' Trump responded.

The audience applauded his remark.

'He thinks it's the greatest thing that ever happened in the history of presidential debates,' a source told Axios.

In the meantime, White House staff have thrown in the towel on efforts to schedule the president while he's on vacation.

Last year when the president was at Mar-a-Lago or his golf club in Bedminister, staff would try to fill his time with events and golf games to keep him from going on any twitter rants.

Things have changed, however.

The president, who is staying in Bedminister until mid-August on a 'working vacation,' will largely be on 'executive time' - which is the listing on his schedule for when he is alone to watch cable news, chat on the phone with friends and tweet.

While at his club in New Jersey, Trump stays in a cottage on the grounds. He likes to golf in the mornings and will usually go over to the clubhouse at night to dine with members.

The president doesn't appear to have an off switch and reportedly feeds off of club members coming up to him to offer him praise.

He also talks on the phone frequently - and staff don't know to whom he's speaking. And he tweets frantically on a multitude of subjects - 11 tweets on Saturday alone - which keeps his press and legal teams hopping.

With a prolonged rainy period expected to lift, the president will have time for multiple rounds of golf.

And plenty of time to tweet.

Trump ran for office promising to spend time in the White House and eschew vacations – while regularly pillorying President Barack Obama for his own golf habit.

He said during the campaign: 'If I were in the White House, I don't think I'd ever see Turnberry again,' in reference to his Scottish golf course that he visited last month.

'I don't think I'd ever see Doral again - I own Doral in Miami,' he said, referencing a course he visits only occasionally, preferring to visit one of his courses closer to Mara-Lago in West Palm Beach.

'I don't think I'd ever see many of the places that I have. I don't even think I'd see anything - I just want to stay in the White House and work my ass off. Make great deals, right? Who's going to leave?' Trump said.
