Oman Avenues Mall, in the capital Muscat, will be attempting to create the world’s largest 3D national flag built exclusively from Lego bricks on November 18.

A press release stated, the flag for the Guinness World Record attempt will be in the form of Oman’s national flag, with 4m width and 2.2m height.

It will be constructed by a team of experts from Stack Events and an estimated 168,000 Lego bricks will be required to complete it.

Visitors to the mall will be able to witness the team in action starting from Thursday and an official Guinness World Records adjudicator will then judge the final display on Saturday.

Following the achievement of the Guinness World Records title, the 3D national flag will be inaugurated as part of the Oman’s 47th National Day celebrations.

Representatives from both the ministries of Tourism and Education will be present for the inauguration ceremony, along with Oman Avenues Mall’s senior management. The flag will then be left on display at the mall for all to see.

The campaign is a celebration of Oman’s 47th National Day on Nov. 18.
