Two people were wounded in a gunfight that erupted in the northern city of Tripoli after citizens tore down a poster showing Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi together with former Prime Minister Saad Hariri.
A source told The Daily Star the fight late Sunday pitted Shadi and Bilal al-Badawi against Firas al-Ali in the Tripoli neighborhood of Mina.
The source said Shadi and Bilal were wounded in the exchange of gunfire and taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The Lebanese army and Internal Security Forces immediately cordoned off the area.
The sources said Ali and another man identified as Ahmad Hijazi were arrested and their weapons were confiscated.
