Omani royal Hamad bin Dheyab bin Hamad al-Said married Japanese princess Fakuda in a ceremony held in Muscat.

The bridegroom is the nephew of Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said of Oman and a senior member of the ruling family, and the bride is the daughter of Japanese Prince Masahiko Fakuda.

In both countries, it is very rare to have royal marriages outside their home countries.
