The Saudi Housing Ministry erected a 124 square meter one-storey house in just 48 hours using precast modular concrete.
This is the first house built using the technique and is a part of the new initiative on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative which was held in Riyadh recently.

The property which is soundproof, anti-fire and earthquake-resistant, has been built by Katerra American construction company and Saudi engineers.
The assembling of the house onsite started on Sunday noon and was ready along with furnishing by Tuesday noon, reported Al Arabiya.
Saudi content creator Mohammed Al Nhet, who was present at the construction site, posted videos showing two phases of construction.
In the first phase, the video shows the house getting assembled on site as each part has been has been previously manufactured.
While in the second phase, Nhet posted another video that shows the house is ready with a garden, attractive exterior, interiors and is entirely furnished.
"The house was built using precast concrete modular, meaning that the house's structure resembles cubicles in the way it's assembled," said Nhet.
The Saudi Housing Ministry signed three agreements with three specialised international companies on the sidelines of the Future Investment Initiative to accelerate building of houses using the new technique.
Besides, local manufacturers have also been funded 186 million Saudi riyals in the fourth quarter of 2018 as part of finishing the procedures for funding seven factories with an amount of 415 million Saudi riyals.
