Turkish police are searching for a man who fired bullets at a teahouse near Istanbul after becoming enraged over being charged "double" for a glass of tea.

A fight broke out between the man and the teahouse owner when he was asked to pay 2 Turkish liras (about $0.65) instead of the typical 1 lira for a cup of black tea.

The angry man was taken out of the teahouse by his friends, but he later returned, firing four shots into the window of the building.

One person, Celal Sar, a 73-year-old man, was injured and taken to the hospital.

Turkey's famous black tea, served piping hot in tulip-shaped glasses, is sold in restaurants and cafes throughout the country.Turkey has one of the highest rates of tea consumption in the world, averaging about 1,000 cups per person each year.
