A mother and her husband who repeatedly raped her young son and sold him for sex on the internet for more than two years have been jailed.
Berrin Taha, 48, and Christian Lais, 39, pimped the boy, now aged 10, for thousands on the dark web from their home in Staufen, Germany between May 2015 and August 2017.
Both admitted to their crimes in court where Taha was today jailed for 12-and-a-half years and Lais for 12 years.
The boy is in foster care where he is doing well 'under the circumstances,' according to a state lawyer.
Lais, the boy's stepfather whom he called 'papa', had a previous conviction for child abuse, raising questions why he was allowed to live in a home with a child present.
Taha said she only went only with the abuse to please Lais but then continued for the money.
