It is believed the horse is an Arabian horse, a breed that is well known for being small and on average weigh under 1,500 pounds and are 15 hands high.
However, they do have strong legs and dense bones which should help them carry heavy riders.
One of the oldest human-developed horse breeds in the world, Arabian horses were bred to perform under harsh desert conditions and keep going beyond the point of exhaustion.
This has given the breed incredible stamina and courage. They are recognized as being intelligent and easy to train.
