Berklee Abu Dhabi Alumni started off the “When is Now?” concert series with a drive in performance "filled with soul-nourishing tunes," the university announced Monday night on their social media sites.
As we continue to adapt to the global situation, we are still committed to safely continue engaging with our community and providing the highest level of education and entertainment.
The Berklee Abu Dhabi Center was launched in February 2020 right before the lockdown in the UAE and the world at large. It has uniquely assembled its alumni from its various international music programs to lead courses in creating music for film scores, mixing and mastering music pieces, DJ-ing and music production, dance and theater among others. The new cultural center was launched in a live music concert performed by its team of talented international musicians and continued to provide webinars and online music programs during the past four months.
Additionally, Berklee partnered with the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism to provide $5 million in fellowships, representing the single largest scholarship program in Berklee’s history, through which students from the Middle East/North Africa (MENA) region will be given opportunities to attend Berklee College of Music; Boston Conservatory at Berklee; Berklee's campus in Valencia, Spain; Berklee Online; and summer programs.
