A domino enthusiast spends days building complex structures only to knock them down in a matter of seconds.

Developer and analyst Benjamin Crouzier from Paris, France, builds the awe-inspiring constructions from thousands of small wooden planks.

The 30-year-old then captures the moment he pushes one plank over to produce a mesmerising domino effect as the planks tumble down in a matter of seconds.

Footage shows the developer press his foot on a pedal made from wooden planks.

The blocks fall in quick succession from left to right as the detailed amphitheatre tumbles to the ground.

At one point Mr Crouzier has to kick part of the structure to keep the flow going.

Mr Crouzier creates arenas, spiral staircases and cylinder constructions from the miniature wooden blocks and said the longest he has spent on a design was four days.

He said he started making domino constructions with his brother from Kapla planks that the siblings were gifted at Christmas.

Mr Crouzier added: 'We never had enough because we always wanted to build bigger things, so every Christmas we ordered 200 to 1,000 extra planks.

'There is a lot of stuff that I still want to try, like big Roman-style bridges.

'I want to try doing a big Colosseum with four pillars, then destroying two opposite pillars and seeing the Colosseum topple as it loses its balance.'
