ALBAWABA - Amid the start of Ramadan 2024, a group of young Egyptians from the Maadi area organized a campaign to break the fast for fasting people passing through the street. But the food was Sushi and Donuts.
The campaign aims to feed those who by coincides found walking during the Maghrib call to prayer during the holy month of Ramadan.
However, after photos and videos emerged online, the Egyptian community was shocked to see that the packages the group of men distributed contain Sushi and Donuts.
Many were shocked after seeing that the Egyptian men and women were giving people Sushi and Donuts to break their fast as some claimed that Muslims usually have dates and water as the main items to break the fast.
On the other hand, one of the Egyptian women who help distribute food on Muslims fasting said that they have been doing this every Ramadan for 14 years.
She said to Cairo 24: "We have been doing this for 14 years and we try to make people happy in the street at breakfast time as much as we can."
