In order to ensure that the highest standards in environment health and safety issues been followed in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, The Environment, Health and Safety Management System steering committee held a meeting at the Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA) in the presence of H.E. Dr. Abdullah Ghareeb Al Beloushi the Executive Director of the Municipal Affairs Support Sector and representatives from the Emirate’s Municipalities, Abu Dhabi City (ADM), Al Ain City (AAM) and the Western Region (WRM) and the Abu Dhabi Environment, Health and Safety Center (ADEHS).

The agenda of the meeting had focused on the achievements and progress in the Environment, Health and Safety Management System in the building and construction sector in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi during the last 3 months.

The AAM presented an update on the progress for 22 Codes of Practice, developments and issuance for review to the other Municipalities and ADEHS Centre as per the efforts to enhance cooperation between the Municipal System and the ADEHS.

The meeting had also looked into several important issues with a focus on the EHSMS policy in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to ensure the proper safe and responsible implementation of the system in order to guarantee a safe living environment for the public and businesses and work force in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
