The Egyptian director Omar Abdeen is shooting his seven-episode series al Shuh “Stinginess” in which writer Lenin al Ramli depicts the relation between man and money through human models he tries to analyze psychologically.

Ramli selected the character of a miser broker who gathers a huge wealth with everybody’s attention on him.

Costarring in the series are Abu Baker Ezzat, Mahmoud Qabil and Wafaa Amer. It is being shot at the Media Production City and will be aired during the forthcoming few months by more than 10 Arab satellite channels.

Wafaa Amer assumes the role of nurse Saadiyyah on which she told the UAE daily al Bayan, “when director Abdeen tapped me to play this role I found the writer has drawn hints about the seven-episode characters with great accuracy in addition to many details about the character of that lady who works as a nurse and attempts to captivate that miser who comes to her as a sick man.

After several attempts she managed to convince him of marrying her and even putting his wealth under her disposal. In a short time Saadiyyah succeeds in getting Eisai’s money and quickly changes the way she treats him and even denies her relation with him. Due to the plenty of money she has, she becomes plagued with phobia of losing wealth. She is then admitted to the mental hospital while Eisawi starts begging in the capital’s streets to secure his daily needs.” -- Albawaba.com
