International Arab pop star Amr released his latest album “Tamally Ma’ak” on July 17th. Diab is one of the pioneers of “Al Oughnia Al Chababia” (Youth music). He has scored a string of hits in the course of his career including the world-wide hit “Nour El Ain” (Mind’s Eye), according to Khaleej.com.

According to EMI Group records company, this is Amr’s "the finest, most consistent work of his career to date, featuring “El Alem Allah” as the first video to be broadcast, the haunting ballad “Tamally Ma'ak” and the very different style of guitar driven “Albi Ekhtarak,” conjuring up images of Carlos Santana's recent work."

“Tamally Ma’ak” comes on the back of some remarkable recent successes. The ‘Best of Amr Diab’ was released in early 1999 and included “Mahma Kibirt Sugheir” – a tribute to legends of Arabic music Omm Kolthoum, Abdel Halim Hafez and Mohammed Abdul Wahab. His video to the song was inspired by, of all people, Puff Daddy, who he met at the Monaco Awards.

In July 1999 Amr's studio album ‘Amarain’ included duets with the Paris-based Rai superstar Khaled of “Didi” fame. It also included work alongside Greek diva, Angela Dimitrou, whose crossover smash “Marguerites” was a huge hit across the Middle East in 1998. The title track ‘Amarain’ was a big hit across the region and in several other markets worldwide.

“Tamally Ma’ak” includes 10 new songs: 1. ‘El Alem Allah’ composer Amr Moustafa, lyrics Amir Taimah, 2. ‘Keda Ainy Aink’ composer Amr Diab, lyrics Ayman Bahgat, 3. ‘Tamally Ma’ak’ composer Sherief Tag, lyrics Ahmed Ali Mousa, 4. ‘A'amel Eih’ composer Amr Moustafa, lyrics Amir Taimah, 5. ‘Wahieh Amla Eih’ composer Essam Karika, lyrics Bahaa El Den Mohamed, 6. ‘Sneen’ composer Mohamed Rifaii, lyrics Sherief Tag, 7. ‘Law Kan Yardeek’ composer Ayman Bahjat Amar, lyrics Waleed Sa’ad, 8. ‘Baataref’ composer Ayman Bahjat Amar, lyrics Amro Mustafa, 9. ‘Albi Ekhtarak’ composer Rabii El Syoufi, lyrics Sherief Tag, 10. ‘Saaban Alaya’ composer Mohamed Rifaii, lyrics Sherief Tag.
