The producer of the Lebanese series Ghadan Yawmon Akhar (Tomorrow is Another Day) decided to decrease the number of the series episodes to 25 from 35 due to many problems which erupted among the cast, according to the daily al Hayat.
The series tackles all the negative issues, which the Lebanese society faced including drugs, arm trading and murders. It also tackles the Lebanese civil war and its impacts and the issue of sectarianism in the Lebanese society.
The series tells the story of the journalist Amirah Azzam who raises through her program entitled Ghadan Yawmon Akhar the problems of the Lebanese society. Amirah and her family are the axis of events as she faces many problems in addition to her family problems starting with her brother who is paralyzed in an accident in which his brother is killed. Her younger sister is an opportunist who cares for herself only.
Despite the sensitive issues, which the series tackles, the number of its viewers has dropped down at a time when disputes among actors and between the director and screenwriter have reached a level, which left obvious negative impacts on the implementation of the series. The story has entered into tunnels of illogical artificiality and confusion and haste in finalizing attitudes in the series haphazardly which does not satisfy the viewers.
The drama line, instead of escalating in the story and building of characters as it should be, the series sank into trivial matters and sometimes into strange contradictory situations. The result was the halt of the series before the set schedule.
The series was scripted by Shukri Anis Fakhouri and directed by Elie Faghali for MTV channel. Costarring in the series are Darina al Jondi, Fadi Ibrahim, Mahmoud Said, Talal al Jurdi, Wafaa Tarabieh, Zainah Abu Farhat, and a number of skilled and professional actors and actresses -- Albawaba.com
