After the great success of her latest album "Lao Beinna Eih" (Whatever There is Between Us), Egyptian singer Shereen Wajdi has recently signed a three-year contract with Rotana Company, according to the daily Egyptian Gomhuriya newspaper.
Rotana general manager, Mr. Salim Al Hindi, has personally headed for Cairo to sign the contract with the renowned singer in a ceremony attended by Shereen's husband Ehab Tal'at and Rotana's office manger in Cairo, Dr. Mohammed Hazem.
The agreement stipulates the launching of one album each year, the first of which to be released during the upcoming Eid al Fitr holiday. Preparations are now under way to release the first album, which will include ten different songs written by Amr Mustafa and Mohammed Rahim and composed by a number of young composers.
Earlier this year, Shereen Wajdi has won the title of best 2002 singer in the Arab world, which granted her a great opportunity to join Rotana.
Wajdi expressed her delight for signing the contract, expressing her hope to achieve success with the company, as a continuation of the string of successes she achieved before.
In the press conference held for the occasion Wajdi said that she always finds the support and encouragement she needs in her husband and all her fans all over the world. - Albawaba.com
