Nile TV tells tales of uprising in Jan 25 doc

On the occasion of the second anniversary of the 25 January revolution, Nile TV International is to broadcast its first documentary series, ' Aish, Horeyya' (Bread, Freedom), on Thursday 24 January.

The documentary tells the story of the Egyptian people and documents the events which took place during the uprising in early 2011, including the ousting of former president Hosni Mubarak. The title is taken from the popular chants by demonstrators at the time: "Bread, freedom and social justice!"

Aish Horeyya is Nile TV International's first production of the sort and was shot in Cairo, Alexandria, and Suez. The documentary interviews eyewitnesses, who tell their stories. Families of those who lost their loved ones during the revolu
