When we heard that Janet Jackson and her Qatari hubby, Wissam al Mana, called it quits just months after welcoming their firstborn to the world, all we wanted to do was Scream!

While international media is focusing on money as the motivation behind the golden couple's split (he's worth $1 billion), we have our own theories on the matter.

Here's a serious-not-so-serious list of why we think Janet, 50, and Wissam, 42, couldn't live happily ever after!

Black Sista vs Muslim Sister

Janet might have used the word "inshallah" in her social media videos, to close her concerts, and in one of her song lyrics, but that wasn't enough to prove that she's converted to Islam.

Perhaps the US star just couldn't bear putting on one more Adidas-abaya-lookalike outfit. Can't blame her for missing her former sexy wardrobe!

After all, you can take an American out of America, but you can't take America out of an American.

Jehovah's Witness vs Muslim Preacher

While Janet was raised in a Christian household, her husband grew up in a Muslim home.

But maybe after five years of "practicing" a Muslim lifestyle in holy matrimony, Janet has decided that she would like to instil Christian values in her son Eissa.

Singer vs Businessman

Wissam is all for keeping out of the spotlight and as far away from the Paparazzi's camera lenses as possible. Meanwhile, Janet grew up in the limelight through her musical family and became a pop icon herself in 1982.

See, it's only natural to have musical abilities running in Eissa's genes, and maybe mama Janet wants her son to forge a music career in his own "Mana Five" band, à la The Jackson Five.

This could be one of the things the business tycoon disapproves of; he most likely wants his son to run the Al Mana Group empire, away from the media's prying eyes.

Baby love vs Baby blues

While some believe that their break up was inevitable, Janet is yet to officially file for divorce, which means the split could be down to baby blues.

To some, Wissam is "the catch" in their relationship: He's younger, more handsome and wealthier, meaning that Janet could simply be feeling insecure after having a baby.

The "Nasty" singer could have even developed postnatal depression, which would explain what seems like an irrational, abrupt decision to us.
