Listen, we all love a good Arab celebrity story. (Or not. Some are just embarrassing.) But sometimes Arabs get together with major, non-Arab celebrities. Hollywood. Fame. And a whole lotta Arab swag.
Here is a list of our top ten favourite Arab and non-Arab celebrity couples. Settle down with your favourite tea and biscuits—and make those biscuits ajweh. Yallah!
George and Amal Clooney
It takes an Arab. George Clooney had gone single forever, his refusal to marry so notorious he and Oprah discussed it on TV. So it was quite the shock when he announced that he’d become engaged; the tabloids went crazy. Who, they asked, was this mysterious lady who’d won ol’ George’s heart?

Why, it was Amal Clooney, that’s who. Lebanese and raised in Britain, Amal was a trilingual lawyer and human rights activist who’d worked everywhere from New York to London. Her list of accomplishments was enormous, making it very obvious very quickly that it was the Hollywood superstar who was the lucky one.
Good on ya, George.
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid, the daughter of Palestinian real estate developer Mohamed Hadid, found fame modeling, finally breaking through on the cover of the US magazine Vogue. Her beau Zayn, formerly of One Direction, is of Pakistani origin. The two make for an adorable (and breathtakingly beautiful) couple.

We know, we know: it’s a cheat. They’re over. But when Bella was with the Weeknd, all was right in the world. She admitted last month that the relationship’s conclusion still weighs heavy on her heart, but she may or may not be secretly dating model Jordan Barrett now, anyway.
Nasri and Sandy Molling

If the name didn’t give it away, yeah: Nasri’s a Canadian-Palestinian. The singer-songwriter is best known for hits from his band MAGIC!, including “Rude.” And guess what? He’s been dating the German singer Sandy Mölling, with whom he shares a son.
Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan

Aww, yeah. The Step Up stars were a sizzle on-screen in 2006 and have been sizzlin’ it up since. Jenna Dewan’s father is Lebanese—explaining her name. Did you know? She looks pretty Arab, when you think about it. Meanwhile, Channing “his face is 90% chin” Tatum is as American as apple pie. The two have been married since 2009 and have a son.
Shannon Elizabeth and Russell Simmons

Did you know that Shannon Elizabeth is actually Syrian-Lebanese on her father’s side? The American Pie and Scary Movie star even stood-up in 2001 to defend her fellow Arabs and Muslims, stating, “I’m half-Arabic [sic], but I am 100 percent American. What is going on affects me the same as everyone else.” Her boyfriend, Russell Simmons, is cofounder of Def Jam Recordings.
Wentworth Miller and Whoever

Look, goodness knows who on Earth Prison Break star Wentworth Miller is dating. The actor has discussed his depression in previous years, including his suicidal thoughts, and finally came-out as gay in 2013. Is he single? Maybe. He likes to keep where he’s sticking his private…well, private. Why does it matter? Well, it doesn’t. Not to us. But here’s hoping he’s happy.
And why is it on this list? Because Wentworth Miller’s mum is Syrian-Lebanese. Yeah. Wentworth Miller? One of us! One of us! One of us!
