The film director Issam Al Shamma’ has chosen the young star Abeer Sabri to star in his new serial “A Man in Time of Globalization” which is considered the first TV serial about this issue. Issam Al Shama has also produced the serial, which deals directly with globalization and its impact on the Arab nations.
Al Shamma’ told Al Sharq Al Awsat newspaper that three million pounds were allocated to the 15-part serial produced by the Egyptian TV Production Sector. The actor Salah Al Sa’dani has been nominated to be the serial’s male star. Abeer was chosen to be the serial’s female star for the first time due to her excellent performance in the serial “The Worriers” which was also produced and directed by Shamma’.
“The serial will provide a simple explanation in a journalistic style of the globalization issue which the ordinary citizen hears daily without understanding its meaning,” he added. Filming of the serial will be started directly after the forthcoming Sacrifice Feast holidays.
