Egyptian film star Nabila Ebeid began gearing up for her new projects, which include two films and one TV series. She also decided to return to film production and nominated the international film star Omar al Sherif and Mahmoud Abdel Aziz to play starring roles along with her.

After a 25 year sabbatical from the small screen, Ebaid told the London based Arabic daily al Sharq al Awsat, “the return will be through the series al Ahdan al Barida (the cold laps) scripted by Mahmoud Abu Zaid under the direction of Adel al Aa’sar and which will be aired during the forthcoming fasting month of Ramadan. There is no doubt that the level of the series is good and through it I will play the role as a lady who travels abroad and stayed there for 17 years and then return to find cold laps waiting for her due to the changes that take place in the society.”

Regarding her return to the cinema, Ebeid said, “I nominated Omar al Sherif to play a starring role in my forthcoming film “Three in One”. I am fully aware of the many work demands, which Sherif makes but I hope the meeting between both of us will be at a good level. I hope he will accept the role extended to him in the film quickly so that I will begin shooting it soon.”

Ebeid is also gearing up for adapting the radio series Segn al Zawgiyya (the marriage prison) into a movie in which Mahmoud Abdel Aziz will play a starring role along with her -- Albawaba.com
