Singer Ahlam from the UAE is releasing a new song entitled “Bakait” (I Cried). The song was dreamed up by the Yemeni singer and composer Ahmad Raweh, and the words were written by Bahrani lyrist Ali al-Humry.

“Bakait” is the first cooperative effort of Raweh and Ahlam. “She liked my latest album “Majaneen” very much," Raweh told the Yemen Observer.

Ahlam’s “Majaneen,” featuring the singer Najiba Abdullah, was a huge hit. The album includes eight songs with a sarcastic bite, dealing with various social issues such as divorce, the court system, mental illness and social change – Albawaba.com
