Lebanese superstar Elissa had a taste of rejection this week when young Egyptian actor, Ahmed Ezz, turned down the offer to appear in her new music video.
The Levantine starlet has a reputation for getting what she wants, but Ahmed wasn’t going to pander to any of her diva demands.
Teasing the pop princess, Ahmed showed up to Beirut for 24 hours to meet with Elissa and her tough team of negotiators. But a day of deals wasn’t enough to persuade the rising star to model in the video for the songstress’ popular song ‘Asad Wahdah’ (The Happiest One).
Ahmed – who is making waves in the acting world – explained that he didn’t want to take a step back in his career by modelling in a music video.
Elissa is now left high and dry in Beirut, dealing with the rejection. But with filming set to start in the next few days, she doesn’t have long to pull herself together.
