Prominent Egyptian comedian actor Ahmed Hilmi has revealed that he is preparing to hold eight standup comedy performances between Cairo and Alexandria. Ahmed stated that he longs for meeting his fans face to face because being so close to them gives him a positive boost of energy.
According to the internet website MBC.net, Ahmed said that he hopes the performances will meet the satisfaction of people especially since it will be the first time in his career he does standup comedy. The actor revealed that his performances will introduce a new image to standup comedy that is different from what is the norm.
Two of the performances will be held in Alexandria Egypt at the Alexandria Library Theater and the remaining six will take place in Cairo, but the locations have not yet been decided on.
Ahmed is currently holding extensive rehearsals for his performances under the direction of Khaled Jalal.
