Singer songwriter Aiza Seguerra returns to Dubai for the Seasons of Love concert on Wednesday. tabloid! chatted to the versatile artist about her forthcoming show, along with other top-notch Filipino artists.

Q: Is this your first time to perform in Dubai?

A: No, I have been to Dubai many times. Filipinos in Dubai have always been an appreciative audience, so I like performing for them. For Seasons of Love, we’re going to give them a good repertoire of songs that I am sure will make them fall in love all over again.

Q: Besides the audience, what do you like most about the city? What are you looking forward to the most on your return?

Q: What part of the city would you like to visit, given the chance?

A: I’d like to take more pictures of the city and its people — it’s an exciting melting pot of cultures and nationalities. Plus, there are a lot of really nice spots around the city that I’d like to take pictures of, as a remembrance of this great city. The best scenario would be for me to take a picture of the sunset in the desert; that would be super cool.

Q: What can people expect from your concert?

A: Every time I perform, I always hope that people will enjoy my performance. I am confident that with our concert they will have a good time. We have a great line-up of artists and the repertoire is really something that they will enjoy, hopefully. There will also be songs that we will perform depending on what the audience likes, so that’s something to look forward to.

Q: What’s keeping you busy at the moment?

A: I’m still doing ASAP, the variety show on ABS CBN, and the early morning soap Be Careful With My Heart, also on the same station. There are also plans to do some stage plays, which is exciting for me. That’s new for me as a performer, and something I’d really like to explore to expand my horizon as an artist.

Q: Apart from being a singer, you’re also an excellent composer. What inspires you?

A: Deadlines.

Q: Is there any ritual that you do before writing a new song? Where do you get your inspiration from?

A: No ritual. It just comes out when it wants to come out.

Q: You’re already a successful artist. What would you like to accomplish next as a singer?

A: I would very much like to go back to school and play music everyday. Maybe more albums would also be good.
