Egyptian actor Yehya Al Fakhrani is a special type of artist who managed to prove himself as a star in every role he played. He entered the spotlight throughout last Ramadan by his distinctive performance in the series Liladalah Wugooh Kasirah, which enabled him to secure the title as best actor in the artwork portrayed during Ramadan this year.
As a competent actor, Fakhrani was keen from his TV debut until his absolute starring in the series Siam Siam (Fasting Fasting), Liali Al Hilmiyyah, Nisf Rabie Al Akher, Zizinia and Ayda Operetta to present himself in a good and distinctive manner. This represented a star journey full of TV hits.
“I feel extremely delighted with the audience interactions with the series Liladalah Wugooh Kasirah (Justice Has Many Faces) and my role in it. I was happy from the first time I read the script and hoped to be Gaber Maamoun Nassar. Director Mohammed Fadhel nominated me for this role, which marked my fourth collaborative work with him, Fakhrani told Albawaba.com
Fakhrani is keen on avoiding the repetition in performing the same roles. “If I am offered to play a character I played before, I will immediately nix it regardless of quality. I also examine the suitability of the work for the audience and whether the viewers will benefit from it or not,” said Fakhrani.
He added, “in my opinion the theme of Liladalah Wugooh Kasirah was exhibited in the last episode despite the fact that I felt it came late. I attempted to convey the message to the viewer hoping the society would change its vision towards the foundling. This vision should change as the western societies have completely different vision towards this issue. What is the sin of a person who came to this life to find himself without a father or a mother? This is an unfair treatment for persons who committed no sins. I am shocked by many of us who label such persons as sons of sin.
