Sheikh Hazza bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Undersecretary of Abu Dhabi Ruler s Representative in the Eastern Region's Court, opened today the 1,400 seat Ice Rink of Al Hili Fun City in Al Ain after completion of renovation work.
Dr. Mattar Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of Al Ain Municipality, said the 60x90 square metre Ice Rink was renovated at a total cost of AED four million to be on par with Olympic standards for hosting international events including ice hockey championships and concerts.
The Hili Fun City Ice Rink is Olympic-sized and was founded in 1987, two years after the opening of the park. It is the first Ice rink to open in the UAE, boasting great facilities as the ideal venue for learning to skate, play ice hockey.
