Basam Al Mala the director of the famous Syrian drama series “Bab Al Harah” (The Neighborhood Door) has used a “Samer Al Masri” lookalike to take his place in the filming of “Abu Shab’s” scenes.
According to the London daily Elaph, Al Mala is using special techniques to make sure that the face of the new actor is not clear in the filming process so the viewers won’t be able to tell the difference.
It is needless to say that the actor called “Samer Al Taweel” who will take Al Masri’s place in “Bab Al Harah” is already part of drama series crew and his tall and big body helps in persuading the viewer into thinking it is the same person. On the other hand Al Mala had already fired Samer Al Masri from starring in the fourth part of “Bab Al Harah” and justified his decision by saying the success of the famous Syrian drama series doesn’t rely on one star.
