Lebanese singer Carol Samaha disappointed fans during her recent concert in Algeria at the ‘Jameelah Festival’ by dancing provocatively leading people to pullout and leave the scene. People attending with their families felt that the singer’s manner was inappropriate and not suitable.
Carol had defended her dancing and her dress, which she was criticized over, stating that the dress is very simple and her actions at the concert were not meant to insult anyone or be provocative.
Carol’s concert was considered to be the most successful during the festival and had sold the largest number of tickets, exceeding sales to Algerian singer Cheb Khaled’s concert.
According to the internet based MBC.net, Carol stated that she holds great respect for the Algerian people and had at first planned to wear a traditional Algerian dress but changed her mind at the last minute and wanted to wear a simple dress.
