Lebanese singer Alissa has publicly admitted to the failure of the wearing of sheets as the main attire in her music video “Akhritha Ma’aak” (What Next). The failure was not due to the criticism she received from wearing the sheets, but for repeating the sheet theme from her old music video “Bidi Doub”, thinking it may gain the same success, the London based Elaph reported.
With regards of her turning to International designer Christian Dior to replace her “sheets” wardrobe, Alissa commented that “It does not bother me what negative views people have about me, they always just want anything to talk about”
Her music video for “Aishalak” was recorded in Paris under the direction of Gabrice Baghoti with Christian Dior’ Fashion House sponsoring her wardrobe in the clip. Alissa feels proud to be the first Arab artist to wears costumes from Christian Dior, which designs the wardrobes of renowned stars including Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman and Sharon Stone. Alissa added that Christian Dior will also be sponsoring her wardrobe in her upcoming music videos to be produced by Rotana, her official recording and production music company.
On a different note, the singer feels that she is making a breakthrough in the music business by being successful in such a short time, adding that she was successful with her duet with Lebanese singer Ragheb Alameh as well as on her own.
Elaph also reported that Alissa admitted to having two plastic surgeries one for her nose and the other for her lips. She comments “I see nothing wrong with improving my looks even though I do not believe that looks are what brings a star closer to his fans but instead his charisma and a beautiful voice, which I thank God I have both.”
Finally it was revealed that Alissa is currently involved in a serious love relationship, but there is no marriage plans so far, even though motherhood is a dream of hers. She added that she would never get herself involved in any relationship with someone in the same career field as herself saying it creates too many complications. –Albawaba.com
