Lebanese singer Alissa has denied circulating rumors that she has headed off to Bahrain where she was to be the guest of honor at the Radio and Television annual Festival. The singer also denied that the head of the festival, Syrian prominent actor Duraid Laham, announced her invitation along with giving a brief highlight of the event and what the festival stands for.
According to the London based, Elaph, it was recently rumored that Alissa had headed off to Bahrain where she will be the guest of honor at the Radio and Television annual Festival, and that a special invitation was sent to her to be the guest of honor and the singer has accepted expressing her joy at such an honor. It was revealed that Lebanese singer Elain Khalaf will also take part of the festival.
Alissa has recently returned from London, where she held extensive work sessions with a number of French and British directors, who wrote special scenarios for her upcoming music video clip from her new album. The new album is scheduled for release in the beginning of 2004.
Alissa revealed that she met with three different directors, one British and two French, and that she will decide which scenario to choose for her clip in the upcoming few days. The singer added that she is willing to use a Lebanese director if she is not impressed with the scenarios she has received.
Alissa is being extra secretive about the details of her upcoming album, which she is currently preparing for, only revealing that she is in the final staging of its making. The singer added that she will give out information in the album’s regard when the time is right. Alissa was in Paris before going to London to record her voice in special recording studios and not to shoot a music video clip, which was rumored in tabloids.
The singer stressed that she does not plan on being a guest on any television show in the near future wanting to focus her attention on her upcoming album. Alissa previously moved to the Music Production Company Rotana, after signing a contract for a very generous amount.
Alissa has announced that she will include the new song "Aribli" (Come Closer), which is the song she sings in the new Pepsi Cola commercial, in her upcoming album. The song will be featured in her first album under the Music Production Company Rotana, which Alissa has signed a contract to develop three albums with.
Alissa has decided to incorporate the song due to the fact that the it was especially made for her to sing, even thought it is originally created to be sung in the commercial. The song is written by Nabil Abu Abdo and composed by Jan Mary Riyashi. The new album by Alissa will also include the songs "Ahla Dunia" (The Best World) and "Kul Youm Fi Omri" (Everyday of My Life), in addition to a number of songs composed and written by carefully selected writers and composers. –Albawaba.com
