Lebanese singer Alissa has just completed shooting a new music video for the song “Hubak Waja” (Your Love is Painful), marking the third from her latest album “Ahla Dunia”. The clip for the song, which has been witnessing enormous popularity, was filmed in a mansion in one of Lebanon’s suburbs, and filming lasted for three days.
According to the London based Elaph, Saeed Al Marouq directed the clip, marking his second cooperation with the singer, the first being “Agmal Ihsas”, which he received an award for best director for. Alissa revealed that the clip is currently in production and will not be released for another month. The singer added that another reason for delaying the release of the clip is the recent tragedy Lebanon went through with the assassination of former PM Rafiq Al Hariri.
With regards to the clip, Alissa revealed that for the first time she portrays a role taken from everyday life, which is that of a wife and a mother of an infant. The husband, who is played by the same model in her video “Agmal Ihsas”, in the clip abandons his wife and child, but returns to them at the end.
Alissa expressed her excitement while making the clip, which differs from her usual role in clips of a mere girlfriend or young pretty girl. She added that through the clip she is sending out a message to people stressing the importance of family ties, especially when children are involved.
