Alissa: I'm not seductive, I'm just daring

Lebanese singer Alissa arrived in Kuwait to hold a performance at the Hello February Festival alongside Egyptian singe Amr Diab and Kuwait singer Nawal. Upon her arrival Alissa commented that her looks and presence are the surprise of the event, where she hopes her performance will be up to expectations. 

 

According to the Kuwait based daily, Al Rai Al Aam, Alissa stressed that she does not attempt to be seductive in her music videos but she is rather a very daring person unlike other singers who try and imitate her movements with the goal of seducing their audience. With regards to Lebanese singer Ragheb Alama's comments on how he was the main reason behind her popularity after their duet "Bitgheeb Bitrooh" (You Go and You Return), Alissa said that she benefited from her experience with him, but it was her commitment to her career that made her known. She added that he has the right not to want to work with her, but what matters is that her audience recognizes her as a singer. 

 

With regards to holding a performance in Iraq after receiving an invitation, Alissa noted that she is willing to go for she feels support and compassion towards the Iraqi people.  

 

Alissa's latest album "Ayshalak" (I Live For You) received great success which she was not expecting. The singer is currently working on shooting a new music video for one of the songs in the album, which she has hired a professional well-known male model from the west to take part in. 

 

Alissa recently held the grand opening for her new gift shop in the heart of Abu Dhabi amidst a crowd of fans. The shop contains a large collection of natural products, oil and rose perfumes, candles and more. Alissa has hired a professional gift wrapper to be at the disposal of customers, who uses a new technique of gift wrapping. Alissa made it a point to present her new shop in the most attractive manner possible bringing it the success she feels it deserves.  

 

On a different note, the singer feels that she is making a breakthrough in the music business by being successful in such a short time, adding that she was successful with her duet with Lebanese singer Ragheb Alameh as well as on her own.  

 

Alissa admitted to having two plastic surgeries one for her nose and the other for her lips. She comments “I see nothing wrong with improving my looks even though I do not believe that looks are what brings a star closer to his fans but instead his charisma and a beautiful voice, which I thank God I have both.”  

 

Finally it was revealed that Alissa is currently involved in a serious love relationship, but there is no marriage plans so far, even though motherhood is a dream of hers. She added that she would never get herself involved in any relationship with someone in the same career field as herself saying it creates too many complications. –Albawaba.com
