Syrian actress Amal Arafa is currently busy with her new role in the new television drama series "Ishtar", which she wrote herself. The drama shows the modern problems in the Arab society and concentrates on the negative habits Arab societies are suffering from these days.
The Syrian drama will include a number of Syrian stars alongside Amal, such as Abdul Minem Amairi, Khaled Taja, Saleem Sabri, Hala Sahwkat, Waffa Moselli, and many others. Syria international company for artistic production produces the drama.
The drama revolves around a girl "Ishtar" who is very simple and suffers the death of her grandmother. She becomes very sad and her father tries to compensate her by spoiling her with money. The major blow in her life comes when the love of her life steals the house she inherited from her grandfather by fraud.
She then travels to Beirut to live with her aunt where she discovers that she has got a charming voice. She climbs up the ladder of fame after going through several plastic surgeries and losing heaps of weight and becomes a superstar.
After years of success she meets her old love and discovers that he had become a very successful businessman but he did not recognize her. She becomes very angry when she sees that he turned into a wealthy man especially due to the fact that he has got his capital from the house he stole from her.
