Having previously defended her decision to film a sexy music video in a Moroccan mosque, Lebanese star, Amal Hijazi, was finally backtracking on the idea this week.
Speaking to MBC.net, the sultry songstress said she never intended to insult the north African nation when she decided to shoot scenes for 'Bi'amilni' (He Treats Me) at the Hassan II Mosque and wants to make it up to her Maghreb fans by filming another video in a different location in Morocco.
Amal also said the decision to shoot at the holy site hadn't been pre-planned and she was simply acting on impulse once she realized how beautiful the building was.
The singer not only apologized for her actions but also promised fans that she would delete the scenes from the mosque before posting her new video online.
Let's hope her Moroccan supporters will allow her to come back to the country for a less controversial shoot in the future!
