Iconic Lebanese superstar Majida el Roumi put on a spectacular show to a large Ammani audience on Friday 12 December.
Hundreds of fans attending the long-awaited concert spent a delightful evening of "Love and Peace" in the company of Majida and her classical hits.
The ever so classy Majida sang some of her most-beloved songs, including "Kalimat" (Words) and "E'tazalt El Gharaam" (I've Quit Love), which the crowd harmoniously sang along to.
Although, with her exceptional voice and timeless talent, Majida delivered and beyond; the event's organisers, 16th of May, reportedly didn't!
Concert-goers vented on social media after attending what they described as "the most unorganised event ever!
"it was the WORST organization ever made! I bought an A class ticket but I would've been better off buying a D class! I couldn't see anything and I spent the time watching Magida on the screens (If i had known this would be the case I would've bought a DVD of another concert of hers and watched it at home!)," one user wrote.
"16th of May" were bombarded with more negative feedback following what should have been a high-profile event.
"Majida was amazing as always, but the event organizing was the worst. I will never attend any event managed by the 16th of May," another unimpressed attendee said.
Yet another upset fan complained, "When the lady began to sing the sound system was not functioning properly, her voice was unclear, it did improve as she sang on. Throughout the concert, people were constantly coming in and out of the arena."
Nonetheless, Majida was overwhelmed with the love she received on her trip and tweeted, "I've returned filled with longing and love. I thank Jordan, both as a country and its people, for all the love, safety and security that they welcomed me with."
The concert took place at the Al-Ahliyya Amman University.
During her visit to the Kingdom, Majida paid a visit to Queen Rania of Jordan. The Queen posted a picture with the singer and captioned it, "Always a delight to catch up with my dear friend, the wonderful artist Magida El Roumi."
