When Egyptian superstar Amr Diab, decided to set up a web-chat with fans on his Facebook page, he thought questions would be about his new album release or music video. But one fan put Amr in the awkward position of responding to rumors that he was set to duet with Lebanese lovely Elissa.
According to MBC.net, Amr said there were no such plans for a collaboration: "The news is not true, at least not on my part,” he wrote. The remark kept fans wondering what he meant by ‘not on my part’: sounded a lot like Elissa had been asking for the duet but Amr wasn't keen.
Meanwhile Amr has also been fighting off rumors that he's planning to flee his home country, Egypt, for Dubai. The best-selling Arab recording artist of all time said he wouldn't leave Egypt for the world.
