There's no escaping it, US TV show Prison Break is getting an Arab remake!

The iconic Wentworth Miller, played by Michael Scofield in the original version, will be portrayed by Egyptian heartthrob Amro Youssef. The only resemblance between the two actors, other than their terrific acting skills, is their light green eyes and handsome features!

We are told however that Miller's character will get a local twist... no tattoos perhaps?

The show's producers have already secured a licence to remake the show from US TV network Fox. "Shadid El Herasa" (Heavily Guarded) is almost ready to begin filming as TV executive Hesham Helal has already penned 10 episodes of the show, reports CairoScene.com.

Fox bosses are flying into Egypt from the US to ensure that the Arab spin-off series stays true to the values of the original!

If the show proves to be successful, further seasons will be filmed on that basis.
