ALBAWABA - The Victoria Beckham Paris Fashion Week show was put to an abrupt stop after several animal rights activists stormed the stage amid her brand's use of alleged animal products such as leather.
According to CNN, the protestors in question wore white vests with "turn your back on animal skins" and "animals aren’t fabric" written on them to raise awareness about the matter. This doesn't come as a surprise since many companies are currently resorting to using vegan leather which refrains from using actual animal skin.

They also were seen holding cardboard posters with "Viva vegan leather" before being escorted by security. Animal rights organization PETA added, that despite Victoria Beckham's brand refraining from the use of fur and exotic skins in its collections, it still uses leather, including calfskin, as reported by CNN.
PETA Vice President for Europe Mimi Bekhechi also stated that "No garment or accessory is worth violently slaughtering and skinning a sensitive and intelligent animal".

The individual went on to add "We are urging Victoria Beckham to turn instead to the ethical and eco-friendly innovations available today, such as high-end leather made from apples, grapes, pineapples, mushrooms, and more".
PETA is no stranger to protesting in fashion shows including the catwalks of Coach in New York, Burberry in London, and Fendi in Milan recently. At the end of the show, Beckham made an appearance while using crutches and the reason was later confirmed by her husband David as he stated she was recovering from a recent injury.
