ALBAWABA - Antonio Banderas, actor of Desperado, said that his fiancée played a pivotal role in preventing his death from a heart attack in 2017.

After a heart attack in 2017 forced Spanish actor and director Antonio Banderas to make some tough choices, he learned to be grateful for what he had. After first dismissing the heart attack as "not serious," the celebrity eventually announced that he needed three stents implanted. The actor said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that he was able to escape the tragedy because of his partner, Nicole Kimpel.

According to Antonio Banderas, "one of the best things" that happened to him was his heart attack.

"My girlfriend went to buy painkillers because we didn't have anything in the house for her headache," the three-time Golden Globe nominee said.

The only item she could find was aspirin, so she purchased it. The highest possible one.

The aspirin she purchased would be the deciding factor in his timely arrival to the hospital the following day, a fact he was unaware of at the time.

"I knew what was going on the minute I started having symptoms the next morning," he said, revealing his heart attack. She managed to save my life by placing one of those aspirins under my tongue.

He claimed that after receiving a "second chance," "things have changed" in his way of life.

After the event, Antonio's "priorities changed," and he chose to stop smoking and drinking alcohol. He now admits that he feels "lucky" to have survived the heart attack.

You may die instantly from a heart attack, the celebrity said. Although some people don't "get second chances," I can honestly say that this has been an incredible blessing in my life.
