The famous Syrian artist Asala Nasri was upset over the comments made by composer Helmi Baker on the entertainment show “Akher Man Ya’lam” (The Last to Know). Baker said that he did not like Asala’s duet “Ali Ili Gara” (Oh what happened) with the famous Tunisian artist Saber Al Riba’y.

According to the London daily Elaph, Helmi Baker claimed that he initially composed the song “Ali Ili Gara” for the Tunisian artist Alia.

When Asala was asked about Helmi Baker’s comment by the host Yemeni artist Arwa, Asala said that she liked Baker’s fashion sense and perhaps next time she can work with him not as a composer, but as a model in one of her video clips.

During the show Asala revealed that she wants to have a baby with her husband director Tareq Al Aryan, and is still trying to get pregnant.

Tareq Al Aryan is working on a new film about Asala’s life story and the film calls for Asala to be pregnant. The film will also star Syrian actor Samir Al Masri, known as ‘Abu Shhab’ in the famous Syrian drama series “Bab Al Harah” (The Neighborhood Gate) and the Egyptian actor Sharif Munir.

Asala is also working on a new album in the Khaliji (Gulf Countries) dialect.
