Civil war? It’s of no consequence when you’re a superstar trying to release your new album. There might be airstrikes and mortar shells but for Syrian singer, Asala Nasri, power outages are the biggest concern.
Producers of her latest album, ‘Shakhsieh Aneeda’ (Stubborn Personality) are planning to sue the beleaguered Syrian energy minister after power cuts pushed back the release date.
Asala had planned to cash in on the Eid holiday market but that pesky civil war got in the way, forcing producers to postpone the album indefinitely.
