She even locked lips with him on a TV show once. Needless to say, that didn't go down too well with her conservative fans, and the incident has forever gone down in history for being one of the most "scandalous" celebrity acts in the Arab world.
But things aren't always as smooth as butter for the loved-up couple!
This week, the celebrated singer Instagrammed a photo of her and her other half, captioned, "Even when I'm most mad at him I still love him. Not because I need or want to, but because he deserves it."

Assala married Tarek in 2006 and they have twin boys together called Ali and Adam.
