Lebanese singer and restaurateur  Assi Helani is opening a new restaurant in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia at the end of this month, and his fans are begging him to sing at the venue's launch.

However, things aren't that easy in the "music-free Kingdom," where live concerts are technically banned.

While live concerts have started to slowly find their way back into the Kingdom - most notably, legendary Saudi singer Mohammed Abdo's concert in Jeddah last month - it's rumored that Helani has been forbidden from singing at his restaurant.

Saudi social media users weren't happy with this decision, and demanded that their idol performs in celebration of the new launch. But will Assi take to the mic next weekend?

The successful star has restaurants in Beirut and Erbil, and they both serve traditional Lebanese cuisine.
