Prominent Egyptian actor Salah Al Sa'dani is trying to bring actors Nour El Sharif and Poussy back together, after the two announced their separation after 33 years of marriage.

Salah began his attempts after Nour returned from the Berlin Film Festival.  He sat with Nour and Poussy, listening to each side of the story in an effort to find a common ground, reported the Egyptian based daily Al Akhbar.

Prominent Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmi refused to interfere, stressing that he did not want to involve himself in extremely personal matters.

Nour confirmed that the two had divorced, without giving any clear reasons for the split.  Nour explained that he had denied the news of the divorce in order to postpone the negative publicity, and in an effort to protect his daughters.

Poussy refused to comment publicly.

Sources have revealed that one possible reason behind the divorce is that Nour had an intimate relationship with another woman, young Tunisian actress Sandi.  Sandi came to Cairo four years ago searching for an opportunity in the acting world.

Sandy has denied being the reason behind the divorce, stressing that only a good friendship exists between she and Nour. The actor respects him for giving her an opportunity and nominating her for a major role in his most recent film “Dam Ghazal” (Deer’s Blood), she explained.
