ALBAWABA - British writer Neil Gaiman and his wife Amanda Palmer recently made headlines after their former nanny filed a civil lawsuit against them over rape and human trafficking charges, as reported by Variety.
The accusations made by Scarlett Pavlovich were first raised last year during a Tortoise Media podcast where she expressed getting repeatedly raped by Neil Gaiman. The lawsuit also included the British writer's wife, who came into the equation after Pavlovich claimed she knew about Gaiman's history of sexual abuse, further accusing her of human trafficking.

Additionally, the lawsuit also includes that both Gaiman and Palmer took advantage of Pavlovich during a rough part of her life when she suffered from mental health issues. At the time, the couple lived in separate houses on Waiheke Island, near Auckland, New Zealand.
Pavolich alleges that Niel Gaiman repeatedly and violently raped her, further claiming that he used vulgar language describing the nanny as his "slave" and demanding her to call him "master." The nanny didn't leave out of fear of putting her job, housing, and future career in jeopardy.
Neil Gaiman is a renowned British writer who is best known for writing critically acclaimed books including Coraline, The Sandman, Good Omens, and more. According to Variety, after being accused of the heinous acts, Gaiman was dropped from several projects.
He recently took to his website and denied the allegations made against him in a statement titled "Breaking the Silence."
