Bad Bunny, the global megastar and Latin Grammy winner, made a grand entrance at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City on Wednesday night, as he arrived in a Tesla Cybertruck for his first show of the Most Wanted Tour.
The Puerto Rican singer, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, dazzled the crowd of over 13,000 fans with his futuristic and unconventional vehicle, which symbolizes innovation, wealth, and rebellion against the norm.
Bad Bunny’s concert was the highest-grossing event in the Delta Center’s 30-plus-year history, according to the venue’s senior vice president of events, Mark Powell. The North American tour follows the release of Bad Bunny’s fifth album “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana”, which broke streaming records when it was released last October.
The show featured live horses, pyrotechnics, and a stunning display of lights and visuals, as Bad Bunny performed his hits such as “Yonaguni”, “Dákiti”, and “Cybertruck” - a song that explores themes of individuality, self-confidence, and the artist’s unique identity.
Bad Bunny also expressed his gratitude to his fans for their support and love, and encouraged them to be themselves and follow their dreams. He said he was happy to start his tour in Salt Lake City, a city with a strong Latino market and a lot of great energy.
The Most Wanted Tour will continue in 31 cities across the U.S. and Canada, with 47 shows scheduled until June 2024. Tickets are still available for some of the upcoming dates, including Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Denver.
