Some called it bad karma, others felt sorry for Emirati "troublemaker" Ahlam, who broke her leg this week.
The outspoken diva posted a video of her broken leg on Facebook, which was covered in a full cast, and sounded happier than one might have expected!
While the controversial starlet might put her music career on hold until her leg has been healed, that didn't seem to bring her down. On the contrary, Ahlam said that the best thing about breaking her leg is the many phone calls received from her friends to check up on her.
"I love life right now. Love youuu," Ahlam enthused.
Singing might be off the menu for now, but Ahlam's hands are in great condition, and with access to social media, that might mean a Twitter war on an unsuspecting tweep might just be around the corner!
