ALBAWABA - American actors Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck filed for divorce on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2024, after only two years of marriage, according to the BBC.
The former couple tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2022 and a month later, held their wedding in Georgia despite having some romantic hiccups years ago.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck who were nicknamed "Bennifer" by fans have quite a history with each other. It all started when they met on Gigli's set in 2001, announced tying the knot in 2003 but then called it off due to "excessive media attention."

Both went their separate ways and got married to different individuals with Lopez marrying Marc Anthony and Affleck marrying Jennifer Garner.
According to Sky News, rumors of their split up circulated across social media in May, and when a journalist asked Lopez about it during an interview discussing her recent Netflix movie Atlas, she said, "You know better than that."
The report in question also confirmed that the former couple were living separately and also put their Beverly Hills house up for sale. Moreover, Lopez canceled her Summer Tour to spend more time with her family.

Both lead different lifestyles as celebrities since Lopez loves the spotlight but on the other hand, Affleck prefers a more private life according to his reaction towards paparazzi and public interactions.
